Ross Crain Portrays Real Life Armed Robber in America's Most Wanted
Ross Crain will portray real life armed robber Shawn Kivlin in an upcoming reenactment episode on America's Most Wanted.

/Television News Articles/ - AUSTIN, TX, August 24, 2005 -- G and C Management Group today announced Ross Crain will portray Shawn Kivlin in an upcoming reenactment episode on the nation's number one crime-fighting show, "America's Most Wanted," which is scheduled to air Saturday, August 27, 2005 at 8:00 p.m. Central on Fox.

Shawn Kivlin, the real life masked-gunman, who wielded a gun and a knife in three pharmacies and one bank in Maine, received a 20-year sentence for armed robbery.

"The acting was so realistic that someone phoned 911 to report a robbery in progress at the pharmacy where we were filming in Texas," laughs Carrie Lynn, Crain's Manager and Publicist. "There were at least six to eight officers who had surrounded the building and either had their weapons drawn on Crain or their hands positioned on their gun holster, ready to move."

Crain attended The University of Oklahoma in 2001-03 where he majored in drama.

The decision to hone in on the art of acting and to ingest characters—all while living truthfully through imaginary circumstances—led him to earn his BFA from The Tisch School of Arts in New York City where he recently completed his studies from the Meisner School of Acting.

He is the son of Garry D. Crain of Austin, Texas and Edwina Deaton of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This past year has been a prolific one for Crain. He recently starred in Julian Stewart's film about dating entitled "The Art of Seduction," is set to star in an upcoming Sci-Fi TV pilot, and is considering a feature film that will shoot in Texas later this year.

His additional film credits include "The Ringer," "Delirium," and "LaDuende." His stage work includes "Troilus and Cressida," "The Absent Character," "Sexual Perversity in Chicago," "Antigone," "Buried Child," "The Real Thing," "Jesus Christ Superstar," and a lead performance as Stanley in The University of Oklahoma's, "A Streetcar Named Desire."
