/Television News Articles/ - SAN FRANCISCO, CA, December 03, 2006 - The film is based on the life and work of the French decorator and antique dealer extraordinaire, Christopher weaves vintage footage from David Rocksavage's film with contemporary interviews of Barbara Stoeltie, Rene Stoeltie, Stephen Sills, Francois-Marie Banier and Jacques Grange.
It is a film of mood and atmosphere, inspired by Madeleine Castaing's love of Honor de Balzac. The Film portrays her Paris shop and her magnificent directoire manor house outside Leves. Born in 1894, Madeleine Castaing, a legend, died at the age of 98.
Christopher's was trained as a psychologist and as a photographer. In the spring of 2006 he produced "romantica," a collection of historic ballads and love songs, sung by don Fidencio and don Alexandro in Oaxaca, Mexico. His work has been exhibited at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA).
