The video, which was produced by Hector V. Herrera of Real Savvy Media, Inc. on behalf of The Coca-Cola Company, won for Non-Broadcast Film/Video Productions. "From a producer's perspective, the Real Savvy Families" series is well made because it incorporated the use of high end production values to meet it's objective of helping families take an active role in contributing to their local communities," says Hector V. The "Real Savvy Families" series includes SIX unique episodes focused on key community and government programs that help each member of the family connect with their community and with each other in positive and fulfilling ways. The awards were bestowed issued for TWO separate episodes in the series, "Civic Rangers" and Nature's Resources.
The TELLY Awards were founded in 1980 to showcase and give recognition to outstanding non-network and cable TV commercials. Several years ago, the awards were expanded to include film and video productions as well as non-network TV programming. Over the past 23 years, the TELLY Awards have become a well-known, highly respected national competition. Each competition has received in excess of 10,000 entries for the past several years. The TELLY statuettes are produced at the same foundry responsible for the OSCAR and EMMY awards.
