Thomas Kirkland Lytle contributes to worldwide growth of hip hop

As the vice president of promotions at Island Def Jam Music Group, Mr. Lytle excels in building and maintaining business relationships. On a daily basis, he is responsible for strategic planning, managing the implementation of gaining exposure for artists and promoting albums. Formerly a program director at WMYK-FM "Power 94" in Norfolk, Virginia, his career with Island Def Jam Music Group began in October 1990 and has contributed to the worldwide growth and popularity of hip hop culture throughout his 20-year tenure. He attributes his success to the solid foundation established by his parents and to his sense of self.

Mr. Lytle received his Bachelor's Degree in Arts from SUNY Buffalo. He hopes to become a successful entrepreneur.
