Cambridge Who's Who Recognizes Louis Schorr for Accomplishments in the Culinary Arts
Louis Schorr, premier food product demonstrator in the New England region

GARDNER, MA, October 2, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Louis Schorr, Professional Chef, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of culinary arts.

A 32-year veteran in the culinary arts, Louis Schorr is a well-known television and radio personality and food product demonstrator. In addition to selling products on QVC, Schorr lectures to small groups and vocational schools in Boston. He is also in the process of writing a cookbook soon due for publication.

For Louis Schorr, a career in cooking was a natural progression. He began learning how to master the basics as a child, assisting his mother - the famed chef Denise Khaitmann Schorr - during her cooking classes and catering jobs. Throughout young adulthood, he took positions at local restaurants and pursued education in the culinary arts at the French school, La Varenne. Shortly after, he joined the management team at Friendly Ice Cream Corporation. After a stint as the regional manager for the RadioShack Corporation, Schorr was offered a position as a demonstrator for the cookware firm, Berndes. His performance and reputation became renowned throughout the industry, and his success eventually led him to All-Clad Mealcrafters LLC, Viking Range Corporation, Girimi and Williams-Sonoma Inc., among others.

As an independent entity, Schorr emphasizes the quality of the products he represents. He promises his valued network of supporters that he will never represent products that he cannot personally endorse. To those looking to find success in the culinary industry, he also stresses the importance of energy, enthusiasm and, above all else, patience - it can take a period of time before recognition is achieved. Once it is, however, the success of knowing that one has generated interest (and sales) in quality products is remarkable.

Louis Schorr holds a degree in culinary arts from La Varenne and a bachelor's degree in business from Worcester State College. He is a member of The Culinary Guild of New England and serves as a board member for The American Institute of Wine & Food. He has also been the Guild's first and only corporate membership chair since 1997. For his success he credits his ever-increasing number of valued supporters in the food community. As he moves forward in his career, Schorr aspires to open a bed and breakfast in Thailand.
