Phyllis E. Bird Named Professional of the Year in Health and Wellness Services
Phyllis Bird establisheda successful Reiki practice after retiring from an exceptional career as a painter for The Walt Disney Studios

CLARKDALE, AZ, July 26, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Phyllis E. Bird, Reiki Master and Instructor for Angel's Hideaway and Retired Painter for The Walt Disney Studios, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in health and wellness services.

Ms. Bird is a Reiki master who uses hand-healing techniques to promote optimal health, relaxation and total balance. She is the owner of Angel's Hideaway, an innovative resource for Reiki treatment, therapy and healing. It supports individuals in efforts to achieve stability in mind, body and spirit. Ms. Bird assists her clients in attaining a healthy balance and relieving everyday pressures through energy healing initiatives. In recognition of excellence in the wellness field, she was recently named a Professional of the Year in Health and Wellness Services by Cambridge Who's Who. Ms. Bird, who became an honored VIP member of Cambridge in 2009, considers her success to be a direct result of her hard work.

Prior to establishing her Reiki practice, Ms. Bird achieved an exceptional career as a painter for The Walt Disney Studios. Her role entailed inking and painting cells for animated films, producing special effects, and restoring old films such as 'Snow White.' In the duration of her career, she worked on 18 classic Disney animated feature films, including 'The Little Mermaid,' 'Beauty and the Beast', 'Aladdin,' and 'The Lion King.' Ms. Bird also completed series work for Hanna-Barbera, Filmation, Ruby-Spears Productions, Inc., and other animation studios. She also received an Emmy certificate from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for her work in a cartoon special entitled 'Ziggy's Gift.'

Today, Ms. Bird still creates artwork while developing her small energy-healing practice in Clarkdale, Ariz. She holds an Associate of Arts in psychology and is an ordained minister. Ms. Bird maintains affiliations with a number of art organizations, including the Northern Arizona Watercolor Society, El Valle Artists Association, and Americans for the Arts.
